After surviving a heart attack, Randal Graves (Anderson) decides to make a movie with his coworker and best friend Dante Hicks (O’Halloran) about their lives at the Quick Stop.

The movie had its world premiere on August 24, 2022 in Los Angeles, followed by a roadshow tour that began September 4, 2022, in Red Bank, New Jersey. It was released on September 13, 2022 by Lionsgate and Fathom Events. It has revived mixed to positive reviews.

These characters have been part of my life for well over 20 years now, the first Clerks (1994) is among my Top 10 All Time Favorite Films, so there was no way I was missing another chapter in this saga! I was so fucking glad I saw this in theaters, you can’t beat an audience reaction, and there’s a good few moments in this one that throw you for an emotional loop.

O’Halloran and Anderson still have that amazing chemistry after all these years, plus they get to go a bit more dramatic compared to the first 2 entries (or more really, as those first 2 aren’t strictly comedic). Obviously Mewes is amazing as always as Jay, plus Smith as his hetero lifemate, Silent Bob. We get appearances from new and old faces that will no doubt put a smile on your face.

Saw it in theaters with my own hetero lifemate!

Some folks may not be into the meta humor (I personally love that shit), but if you’ve been a longtime follower of Kevin Smith and his View Askewniverse than you definitely owe it to yourself to check this one out! Also, if you see it in theaters you get an introduction from Smith, and after the end credits a little behind the scenes video with cast and crew interviews (I really hope these will be included on the blu-ray). Snoochie Boochies!
