Simu Liu (Chinese: 刘思慕; born April 19, 1989) is a Canadian actor. He gained international fame for his starring role in the MCU entry Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), with Awkwafina, Meng’er Zhang, Fala Chen, Florian Munteanu, Benedict Wong, Yuen Wah, Michelle Yeoh, Ben Kingsley, and Tony Leung. He also played Jung Kim in the CBC Television sitcom Kim’s Convenience (2016 – 2021), with Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Jean Yoon, Andrea Bang, Andrew Phung, and Nicole Power.
