Rebecca Augusta Miller, Lady Day-Lewis (born September 15, 1962) is an American independent filmmaker, screenwriter, novelist and occasional actress. She is the daughter of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Arthur Miller (with his third wife, photographer Inge Morath), and The wife of three time Academy Award winning actor, Daniel Day-Lewis.

She is known for writing and directing the films Angela (1995), with John Ventimiglia, Anna Thomson, Miranda Stuart Rhyne, and Vincent Gallo; Personal Velocity: Three Portraits (2002), with Kyra Sedgwick, Parker Posey, Fairuza Balk, Ventimiglia, Ron Liebman, Wallace Shawn; The Ballad of Jack and Rose (2005), starring Day-Lewis, Camilla Belle, Catherine Keener, Paul Dano, Ryan McDonald, Jason Lee, Jenna Malone, Susanna Thompson, and Beau Bridges; The Private Lives of Pippa Lee (2009), with Robin Wright, Alan Arkin, Maria Bello, Monica Bellucci, Blake Lively, Julianne Moore, Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder; Maggie’s Plan (2019), Greta Gerwig, Ethan Hawke, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, Travis Fimmel, Shawn, and Moore; and She Came to Me (2023), with Peter Dinklage, Marisa Tomei, Joanna Kulig, Brian d’Arcy James, and Anne Hathaway.

She also co-wrote the script to John Madden‘s Proof (2005), starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Anthony Hopkins, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Hope Davis; directed the documentary Arthur Miller: Writer (2017), documentary miniseries Mr. Scorsese (2025), and produced the film Pose (2025), with James McAvoy, Lucas Bravo, Aisling Franciosi, Leila Farzad, and Almudena Amor.

As an actress, she appeared in the mini-series The Murder of Mary Phagan (1988), with Jack Lemmon, Kevin Spacey, and William H. Macy; the films Mike Nichols‘s Regarding Henry (1991), with Harrison Ford and Annette Bening; Consenting Adults (1992), with Kevin Kline, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, and Forrest Whitaker; Paul Mazursky‘s The Pickle (1993), with Danny Aiello, Dyan Cannon, Clotilde Courau,,Shelley Winters,,Barry Miller, Jerry Stiller, Chris Penn, and Ally Sheedy; Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle (1994), with Jennifer Jason Leigh, Campbell Scott, Matthew Broderick, Peter Gallagher, Jennifer Beals, Andrew McCarthy, and Shawn; Love Affair (1994), with Warren Beatty, Bening, Katharine Hepburn, and Pierce Brosnan; and Noah Baumbach‘s The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) (2017), with Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Dustin Hoffman, Emma Thompson, Elizabeth Marvel, Grace Van Patten, Candice Bergen, Judd Hirsch, and Adam Driver.
