Gaetano John “Gaten” Matarazzo III (born September 8, 2002) is an American actor. He began his career on the Broadway stage as Benjamin in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (2011–12) and as Gavroche in Les Misérables (2014–15). He gained recognition for playing Dustin Henderson in the Netflix science-fiction-horror drama series Stranger Things (2016–present), with Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Cara Buono, Matthew Modine, Dacre Montgomery, Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, and Brett Gelman. He also hosts the Netflix show Prank Encounters (2019–present).
Film roles include Honor Society (2022), with Angourie Rice and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. He also did voice work in The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019), with Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Tony Hale, Anthony Padilla, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage, Leslie Jones, Rachel Bloom, Awkwafina, Sterling K.
