Sir Matthew Allard Robert Vaughn (legal name Matthew Allard Robert de Vere Drummond; March 7, 1971), known professionally as Matthew Vaughn, is an English producer, filmmaker, and screenwriter. His first producing credit was The Innocent Sleep (1996), with Rupert Graves, Annabella Sciorra, Michael Gambon, Franco Nero, and John Hannah. He’s well known for producing Guy Ritchie’s first three films: Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998), with Jason Flemyng, Dexter Fletcher, Nick Moran, Jason Statham, Steven Mackintosh, Vinnie Jones, Lenny McLean, P.H. Moriarty, and Sting; Snatch (2000), with Benicio del Toro, Dennis Farina, Alan Ford, Robbie Gee, Stephen Graham, Lennie James, Jones, Brad Pitt, Mike Reid, Rade Šerbedžija, and Statham; and Swept Away (2002), with Madonna, Giancarlo Giannini, Bruce Greenwood, Jeanne Tripplehorn, and Elizabeth Banks.
He made his directorial debut on the film Layer Cake (2004), with Daniel Craig, Colm Meaney, Kenneth Cranham, George Harris, Jamie Foreman, Sienna Miller, Gambon, Ben Wishaw, Tom Hardy, Burn Gorman, and Sally Hawkins.
