I leaned of this film’s existence thanks to the fine folks at RiffTrax, who released this title in 2017. I doubt this was screened for critics, not just because it was straight to video, but I can’t imagine any professional critics that might have seen it would’ve given it positive reviews.
How bad is it? This movie definitely sucks. I know it’s low budget and making movies isn’t easy, but that excuse can only take you so far, especially with this title! Our lead actor a charisma vacuum, it’s a mystery how he ever had an acting career (extremely brief as it was). You don’t buy him as a government assassin for a single second, the only government job you could buy him as would be IRS auditor or some other desk jockey job. Even though he also wrote the script, he puts in almost no effort in delivering his lines, same goes for basically everyone else in the film. The only semi decent performances are from Railsback and Linville, but neither is in the movie enough to leave any real impact. Is it so bad it’s good? Only through Rifftrax, on its own it just doesn’t have enough going for it to be entertainingly bad.
